During sockeye salmon season, we offer two six-hour trips daily: 5:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.–6 p.m.
All other guided trips are 7–8 hours, typically beginning at 6 a.m.

Sockeye Salmon Charters
$250pp / $800 private boat (1-2pp)
Our most popular trip. We target sockeye salmon, June through August with 6-hour trips on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. The first trip of the day meets at 5:30 a.m., with the second meeting at noon. Each boat can transport up to 5 anglers.
Silver Salmon Charters
$300pp / $900 private boat (1-2pp)
We start targeting silver salmon in mid-August on the Kenai River and fish them through mid-September. All fishing is done from the boat with trips typically starting around 6 a.m., ending at 2 p.m. or limits. We can fish 4 anglers comfortably, or 5 if needed.
Rainbow Trout Charters
$300pp / $900 private boat (1-2pp)
Our resident rainbow trout can be targeted on the Kenai River all season long, with the bulk of the fishing done from mid-August to the end of September. Trips are 7-8 hours long and start at 7 a.m. Boats can hold 3-4 anglers, depending on skill level.
King Salmon
$300pp / $900 private boat (1-2pp)
Due to regulations on the Kenai River, we only target King Salmon on the Kasilof River in June. This year’s fishery is one (1) hatchery King per person.
Combo Charters
$325pp / $900 private boat (1-2pp)
Want to target silver salmon and rainbow trout on the same day? No problem. Our combo trips on the Kenai River let you bring home some meat, while chasing the trophy rainbow trout (catch & release). Trips typically start at 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. and last 7-8 hours.

1-2 people: $900 (7-8 hours)
3 people: $1100 (7-8 hours)
Sockeye
1-2 people: $800 (6 hours or limits)
3 people: $1000 (6 hours or limits)
Private boats give you the flexibility to change your daily fishing schedule as to where & what to fish for, with the guides advice.
A 50% deposit is required at booking, unless purchased within 14 days – then full-trip price is due at booking. Remaining payment to Explore Kenai due prior to trip. Full refund of the deposit will be given for cancellations outside of 60 days prior to the trip. Cancellations occurring inside of 60 days before arrival will forfeit the full amount, unless the vacancies are filled. No refunds for non-appearances, early departures or missed trips. We recommend the purchase of travel insurance. Sales tax and processing fee not included in rate.
